Setup: Official manual: place unit on the ground 6-8 ft (1.8-2.4 m) behind the tee; tee must be at least 8 ft (2.4 m) from the net indoors; 2x2 ft hitting area starting 6 ft from the unit. Min depth 14 ft = 6 ft (unit-to-tee) + 8 ft (tee-to-net), derived from official figures and matching PlayBetter's 'recommended total room depth: 14 feet'. Ceiling 9 ft and width 10 ft are RETAILER figures (PlayBetter); Garmin only says 'adequate ceiling height'.

Software compatibility

  • gsproSupported
  • garmin-golf-app-home-tee-heroSupported

Requires: Garmin Golf membership required for virtual rounds / Home Tee Hero courses (official manual)

  • e6-connectSupported

Requires: 5 free iOS courses at purchase per PlayBetter; full E6 license paid

Data notes

Radar-based ('internal device radar', official manual). Club metrics (club head speed, club path etc.) provided via radar; Garmin does not label measured-vs-calculated per metric on fetched sources. Left-handed: unit sits behind the ball on the target line so no repositioning (PlayBetter: 'seamless switching between right- and left-handed players'; Carl's Place same); handedness is set in the Garmin Golf app player profile - the official manual itself does not document handedness, and Garmin's support article 'Left Handed Swing Detection With Approach Launch Monitors' (support.garmin.com faq=tmQvaJFytd6PWAP7r87AK9) could not be machine-fetched. Price $499.99 from PlayBetter (authorized retailer) because garmin.com renders JS-only; verify against garmin.com. Awesome Golf and TGC 2019 also listed by PlayBetter.
