Setup: Official manual: place the unit approximately 1.5 ft (0.5 m) to the side of the tee location, facing the tee, at roughly the same height as the tee; 'ensure there is adequate ceiling height' (no figure published by Garmin). PlayBetter (retailer) estimates about 12 ft of room depth. Target line is parallel to the front of the device by default; target alignment adjustable up to 10 degrees.

Camera-based launch monitor with 10-inch touchscreen and built-in sim ('internal cameras' per official manual; '3-Camera System' per PlayBetter). Club data requires the included club stickers on the club face (official manual; no club data on putts). Left-handed: manual documents a per-profile 'Handedness' setting but does not address unit position; as a side-placed photometric unit it must be moved to the other side of the mat when switching RH/LH (Garmin forums and reviews report this, and Home Tee Hero auto-adjusts after the move; users report the auto-switch does NOT work in GSPro).
